Sandcasting

Sandcasting — or sand casting — is one of the oldest techniques for shaping metal. The process is simple and powerful: a model is pressed into compacted sand to create a mold, and then molten metal is poured into that space. When the metal cools and solidifies, the mold is broken and a piece is born with an organic, unrepeatable texture.

What makes this technique special is its imperfection. Each grain of sand leaves its mark on the metal, creating surfaces with a unique character — rough, alive, authentic. No two pieces are alike.
